Spring into Science

This month is Women’s History Month
March 8th is International Women’s Day. Fun fact about me is I bought my first motorcycle on that day and took my corgi, Bean for a ride. Check Instagram for the picture.

This month we are either planting seeds or watching someone plant and grow flowers on Youtube.

This month we celebrate Scientist Mildred Rebstock. She was born in Elkhart, IN on November 29 1919. She was an American pharmaceutical chemist. Over 70 years ago she synthesized chloramphenicol. This is the first naturally occurring antibiotic to be chemically generated in vitro for large-scale production. Chloramphenicol is and antibiotic that is used to treat various bacterial infections including pink eye, meningitis and more.

Although she did not win any big awards, she continued to work Parke-Davis Research Labs to discover more and help make the world a better place.

all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
